A new website in 3 weeks: how a Website Sprint runs

Week by week: what happens in a Website Sprint, what you need to prepare and what keeps a website project on schedule.

Week 1: listen and sketch

We start with a kickoff workshop. We want to understand what the website should achieve, who it is for and how we will know it works. Afterwards you receive a brief on 1 page, so everyone agrees on the goal.

Then we sketch 2 or 3 directions for the homepage. You pick the one that feels right, and we refine it together.

Week 2: build

We design the remaining pages and build them from reusable building blocks. We move your content, write or polish the copy with you and send you a preview link that you can click through on your phone and laptop.

Week 3: polish and launch

We test on real phones, tablets and laptops, work through your last round of feedback and set up redirects, the sitemap and Google Search Console. Then we go live together and show your team how to edit texts and images.

What you prepare

  • 1 decision maker who can say yes, so nothing waits for weeks.
  • Your brand files: logo, fonts, photos and any guidelines. If there are none, we start fresh.
  • About 1 hour a week for the kickoff, the reviews and a look at each preview.
  • Honest feedback. It always makes the result better.

What slows a project down

  • Too many people deciding. Collect feedback inside your team first and send us 1 combined answer.
  • Content that arrives late. Texts and photos are the most common bottleneck. We help with both, but they need your input.
  • A growing scope. New ideas are welcome. We write them down and plan them for after launch, so the launch date holds.

After launch

The first week after launch is included. After that you can book changes by the hour or continue with a Partnership. There is more about every step on our process page.

Questions and answers

Can a larger website also be done in 3 weeks?

Smaller sites move faster, bigger ones take a little longer. You see the timeline in the offer before we start.

What happens if we need more time for feedback?

The plan moves by the same number of days. Tell us early and we adjust it together.
